Digital Strategy for the National Gallery and DIAZOMA

This season closes with two important projects for PostScriptum and digital culture: the digital strategy for the National Gallery - Alexandros Soutzos Museum  and a study regarding the Digital Agenda for Culture as a guide for the use of Information and Communication Technologies in the area of culture, which was assigned to PostScriptum by DIAZOMA.

The Digital Strategy for the National Gallery is a modern study that will bring the Gallery close to the new requirements of the audience. New digital media and a variety of practices and actions will be defined, aiming at promoting the opening of the Museum's collections to a wider audience, enhancing the experience of the visit and the enjoyment of the works of art. The study is expected to contribute significantly to the renewed museological concept and to enhance the Gallery's digital footprint as a modern cultural institution.

Of particular importance is the Digital Agenda for Culture that DIAZOMA assigned to PostScriptum. Beyond the basic research for the use of Information and Communications Technologies in the area of culture, the study includes specifications for the needs regarding processes and ICT infrastructure in the project "Cultural Route in Epirus Ancient Theatres” but also in three more projects: the “Archaeological and Environmental Park of Epidaurus”, the “Cultural and Environmental Path of Olympia Odos” and the “Archaeological Park of Messina”.

With the completion of these studies is perhaps the first time that is planned such an extensive and specialized plan of activities and actions on the basis of a comprehensive digital strategy. PostScriptum will work hard for an essential result, adapted to the Greek reality and also to the resources of cultural institutions, but always oriented to international best practices.
