Wikipedia Workshop & Editathon

Thesswiki continues with another workshop session, this time in the context of the exhibition entitled “Divided Memories 1940-1950. The distance between history and experience” powered by Goetthe Insitute in collaboration with the Jewish Museum of Thessaloniki, the Macedonian Museum of Modern Art and the Deutsches Historisches Museum in Berlin.

This time, Thesswiki explores the cultural formations and the artistic trends during the period of the  Occupation and  the Civil war in Greece.

The library of the Macedonian Museum of Modern Art will be the hub which will host Thesswiki workshop.

During the workshop basic principles of  Wikipedia articles’ creation and editing will be explained along with know-how tips regarding licensed media upload on Wikicommons.

The project aims at the production of new Wikipedia articles pertaining to this specific Era, the curation and refinement of existing articles and the contribution with new media content.

The workshop will take place on Thursday 16th of February from  17.00-21.00 in the Library of the Macedonian Museum of Modern Art.
