Cavafy Archive: the most complete Greek literary archive is based on ArchiveMax

Onassis Foundation opens to the public the digital collection of poems manuscripts, hand-compiled printed editions, prose literary works, articles, studies and notes by the poet, as well as his personal archive, including correspondence, texts and photographs. Today, everyone can discover the rich archival material, visiting the digital collection with more than 2.000 digitized archival documents.

In the context of this significant collaboration, PostScriptum contributed to the design and development of the digital tools which were indispensable for the documentation and promotion of Cavafy’s work in the world wide web. Complying with international standards of archival description and integrating the open source software AtoM, the archival collection management system ArchiveMax was effectively adjusted to the special needs of documentation during this unique endeavor of Onassis Foundation.
