Conservation Study of Archival Material within the framework of the Project “Digitization, Accessibility and Dissemination of Cultural Product”

PostScriptum, in collaboration with RTD Talos, undertook the conservation study of archival material within the framework of the Project "Digitization, Accessibility and Dissemination of Cultural Product (audiovisual, printed, musical)" - Digital Herodotus II, 2014 - 2020 INTERREG V-A Greece – Cyprus

The archival material of the Press and Information Office of Cyprus has suffered extensive damage under the threat of the problem of degradation and destruction of large volumes of newspaper collections. The Press and Information Office has already completed a process of inventoring archive material in order to identify volumes that have suffered significant damage problems. PostScriptum conducts the study in collaboration with a specialized in situ expert while demonstrating appropriate ways to maintain the archive in order to minimize the potential for such problems in the future.
